Alkindo Shares Industry Insights on Packaging Design at Telkom University

Bandung, November 6, 2025 – PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting education by taking part as a guest lecturer at the Product Design Study Program of Telkom University Bandung.
This session was part of a compulsory lecture for the Packaging Design course, themed “Multi-Item Packaging: Industrial Approaches in Multi-Item Packaging Design Inspired by Traditional Indonesian Products.”

The lecture took place at Sebatik Hall, Faculty of Creative Industries, featuring two speakers from Alkindo: Mr. Japar Sidik, Head of QC/QA and Project Development, and Mr. Tigin D. Ginulur, Cost Coordinator at PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk.
Their presentation covered key topics including Principles and systems of multi-item packaging, Technical considerations in materials and production, Design transformation in modern packaging, Case studies from real industrial projects.

The session was opened by Ms. Nur Sabariah, S.Ds., M.Ds. SNB, Product Design lecturer at Telkom University, and attended by more than 100 students from three different year levels. The participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the event, especially during the interactive discussion and product showcase.
Alkindo brought several sustainable paper-based packaging samples, such as papercore, honeycomb board, and Hexa Wrap—an eco-friendly paper-based alternative to plastic bubble wrap.

Through this lecture, Alkindo aims to provide students with practical insights into sustainable packaging design and to introduce the potential of recycled paper materials as eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Both Telkom University and Alkindo expressed their hope that this collaboration will continue beyond the classroom — evolving into a long-term partnership in education, research, and career opportunities, including internship and employment pathways for Telkom University graduates.
